Acro Dance Intensives
PAC Intensives are an opportunity for dancers to tumble, contort, stack, stunt and lift. Whether you are an experienced acrobatic dancer or a dancer new to the world of acro, intensives are a great way to develop and expand on acrobatic skills and knowledge.
During intensives, dancers will participate in a dance-gymnastics combo warm-up, including a different yoga for dance inspired stretch routine each day. Dancers will then engage in across the floor dance exercises and skill-specific circuit trainings – different day, different skill! The transition to choreo will happen following progressions so we’re able to incorporate our newly learned skills into solo pieces and a team routine. We’ll wrap up each day with strength training and a fun, cool down exercise. Dancers will learn the importance of stretching and strengthening as it applies to acro.
On the final day of intensive, family and friends are invited to a skill demonstration, mini recital and graduation ceremony. This is an opportunity for dancers to showcase what they’ve been working on throughout their intensive!
“All work and no play?!”
Dancers will engage in a variety of acro related, fun activities throughout the week! These games, mini-challenges and special tasks will be geared towards teamwork development, vocabulary acquisition, creativity and self-expression.
